Adjustment of Circular 2 – 2021 on the Regulations for taking over own catch
Following an agreement between the Norwegian Raw Fish Association, Surofi and the Western Norwegian Fish Market Association, a small adjustment has been made to the regulations for taking over own catch for vessels that freeze their catch on board.
Permission for self-takeover can now also be granted for consumer-packaged fish products (in addition to shellfish). A consumer-packaged product is a finished product produced on board the vessel and packaged in the packaging used until the product is sold to the consumer. Such products also occur to a limited extent for fish in the primary market, and it is appropriate in the regulations that these are equated with shellfish.
