Catch received by other means than by landing from a vessel

The Directorate of Fisheries reminds that it must be stated separately on the final receipt if the catch is received in a manner other than from a vessel.

Catch received by other means than by landing from a vessel

This provision was included in the landing regulations in 2020 for control purposes and to be able to identify catches that have been delivered to a reception facility in a manner other than by landing from a vessel. The requirement is therefore not new, but it has only now been made technically possible to provide the information on the final bill.

This will mainly concern catch that is transported, for example by car, to a reception point from another landing point. Landing and transport of such catch must be exempted from the weighing requirement for transport of catch from a landing point that does not have an appropriate weight. In addition, the provision also covers all other cases where fish is received in a manner other than by landing from a vessel.

A separate code for landing/delivery method has been created to be used in cases where the catch is received in a manner other than by landing from a vessel. The code (16) for landing/delivery method to be used on the note in such cases is:

All actors must use this code.

If you have any problems or questions regarding access to this code in your banknote system, please contact your fish sales team or system supplier.
